Its authors are sculptor Glebs Pantelejevs and architect Andris Veidemanis. The object has two sides, which symbolically discovers different epochs. The front piece, which consists of a polished and lacquered aluminium cast, symbolises the 21st century. But the back and side pieces, which are thought to represent the 17th century, are made of rusted cast-iron.
